Well yesterday was interesting given i had hiccups the entire day. Tried everything from water to holding breath- let me tell you guys, none of them work. Hiccups often occur after consuming carbonated beverages, alcohol, dry breads, or spicy foods. Prolonged laughter or eating too fast are also known to cause hiccups. Hiccups are caused by many central and peripheral nervous system disorders, all from injury or irritation to the phrenic and vagus nerves, as well as toxic or metabolic disorders affecting the aforementioned systems. Shiiii..why am i so screwed up..?
LOL i made up this joke i fully cracked up at yesterday:
How do you calculate your mum's body surface area?
FOUR PI R SQUARED!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! okay maybe thats why i got hiccups.
Pep talk:
Let me give you a little history. In 2nd century BC Aristotle created the geocentric model of the universe, so Earth was at the centre. At the time religious doctrine of the Ancient Greeks said that Earth was always at the centre and anyone who objected to this was worse than blasphemy ( i finally understand this word). Then Aristarchus in 3rd century BC created the heliocentric model - sun at the centre and all planets and moons orbited it but this model was rejected as earth wasnt at the centre. None of these models could account for retrograde motion but Ptolemy then created a model that could account for retrograde motion however Earth was still at the centre. It was kept for the next 1500 years. Now i'm guessing that he probably knew that Earth wasn't at the centre but kept it there because he knew of the consequences of going against religion and logic ( earth didnt feel like it was moving). They all died with the same models.
My point is- just because there are 'rules' that bind you, it doesnt mean you can't voice your opinion. What is the freaking point of having one then? Like Aristarchus- he was right in the end, everything does not revolve around Earth- it orbits the sun and im very proud of this little philosopher for dying with his same model. And Ptolemy-well he's just a bit of an idiot who tried to make everything better but no doubt was restricted to those stupid laws. If he had made the sun the centre ( like he probably knew), he would go down in history as the man who could both explain retrograde motion and have the correct structure of the universe.
So please have a spine, dont be afraid to voice your opinion for you might be right, just like Aristarchus was. My friends, dont picture yourself as the Earth. Picture yourself as a star, the sun, everything revolves around you. =)
