The hype of A school photo

SO my mum comes home last week sunday and says 'LJ I HAVE A PRESENT FOR YOU!'. Naturally, I react by jumping out of my chair, thinking hey she may have brought me a pair of earrings of something, but no, in her very hands, is a banker's lamp.
It looks exactly like that.

Okay so school photos are on tomorrow and tuesday. And apparently, if you dont like the photo you can always just refun it. OMG THATS LIKE 5X30 bucks!!!!!! Well I was always one of those people that had to buy a school photo because I thought it documented my high school life. And besides, i've always been wanting to be one of those people with a dramatic difference in looks from yr 7-12. I wanted to have a cute baby face, then in year 12 be mature but prettier and of course, still cute. But comparing them just then, I look pretty much the same but the hair is different. And my teeth are straighter-yet still not perfect. OH THE INADEQUACY! No- I actually think I look better now than I did in year 7. Im happy with the way I look. And in year 9 I'll admit I thought IMA LOOK AWESOME FOR PHOTOS THIS YEAR! So guess what? I ordered a B pack. Yeah thats right with one HUGE photo of myself and about a bijillion other tiny ones too. AND THE PHOTO TURNED OUT HORRIBLE. In fact, they're all still in the plastic bag they gave it in.

In year 8- as vaish will remember, I went to the bathrooms in the hall. We spent about 15mins in there practising our smiles, putting on lip gloss OH THE HYPE OF SCHOOL PHOTOS! But that year, my photo turned out best and I keep my year 8 school card in my wallet-not the year 9 or 10 one. This year I wont spend 15mins in there. Maybe 5 ^^ I want it to be more natural this year. It's different cos I dont have braces anymore :D So ima just smile when the camera says so-no forced posing no nothing. It's gonna be the real me.

The High School Life Of Shazz Mo

A blogpost dedicated to one of the craziest people I know, because its her birthday!

Happy Birthday Shazz Mo :) You're seventeen! And legally able to do magic ;) Hope your 17th is amazing, filled with lots of love, cake and wishes! Can't believe I've known you for 5 years! Here are some pictures as a reminder to see how you've grown :)

And haha, I can feel the dread sinking in. LETS TAKE A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE.

First stop - Taronga Zoo Excursion - 2007!

Its safe to say our Shazz began out looking -exactly the same as she does today. SERIOUSLY AGELESS!
Tom, on the otherhand, is adorable hahahaha :)
The embarassing moments of Athletics. Shazz continued to grow as a person, posing shamelessly in the middle of an empty Athletics Field with two uinknowns, for a series of starfish, ninja and deep thinker pictures.
Later on, her violent personality finally revealed itself, when she was fooled into eating a whole packet of salt which she was told by an unknown, was sugar. She then proceeded to violently hit the said individual.
Red nose day brought on ample opportunity for our Shazzz to sport a RED NOSE for charity- which she wore with pride!
This is our Shazz at the end of the mentoring program (at the end of year 7,) with a jump shot off the T block brick wall.
Team FOUR For High Resolves was amazing. Its saf to say, Shazz has still not aged a bit. Vampire?
Musical 08! SHazz was in this too, and looks stunning as always. The makeup makes her look a bit older than before, but our birthday girl maintains a perfect ageless face. What the crazy?!

Comm sales in Year 9 had our birthday girl selling like crazy - and here's she's shown holding a sign for the VERY SUCCESSFUL Get Skwewred who raised so much money!

The end of year 10 had our birthday girl looking as young as she ever did, in this shot of A/C girls forever :) NO CHANGE IN HER FACE AT ALL.
The formal at the end of year 10 let Shazz shine, and she's shown here in a SHIMMERY silver dress, looking fabs :D
Her face, once more, remains ageless. Edward Cullen 2  .. D:

This is Shazz in Yellow -the beginning of year 11, and well on her way to turning seventeen. Decked out in yellow, because Jones is the best house!
Peer support camp helped our Shazz find direction, literally.  It also lead to her being selected as a Peer Support Leader :)
Aaaaaaaaand . . . . . . . . HERE she is. THE BIRTHDAY GIRL :)
Seventeen at lasttt!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Hope you have a fantabolouslywonderful day, and gosh making this post was fun!

Hope you've all learnt all about the strange, somewhat whacky Shazz Mo in our grade :)

Happy Birthday again Shazz :) lots of loveeeeeee foreverrrrr.

The Best Week Yet

With bio pracs due Monday, English essay due Friday, campaigning going on for a lot of our grade - next week is going to be hell D: Firstly, congrats to everyone who made prefect! LET US SPAM THE SCHOOL WITH CAMPAIGNS :)

Secondly: SRC DANCE IS COMING UP :D  $5 a ticket or $20 for 5 ! Cool, that was very obvious advertising but this dance is going to be hectic so you shall all come :D

I swear I wasted so much money this week: Xmen, Hotpot, Musical dinner. WTF:L I'm so poor :'(

MUSICAL DINNER WAS AMAZING :)
I love that feeling of organising coming together :D Cudo's so Syd and Lena who helped so much! And the mums for cooperation, the teachers, and everyone for turning up and having fun :D Hope everyone had heaps of fun because that was our aim - and thankyou guys for an amazing dinner (:
Musical Dinner Photo: Lean on Lenaaaa! ;D
Musial dinner: SO many photo's! Abbi was fangirling like mad, and flipping her hair at the waiters (who were french - one was really CHARMING it was insane) .
Though the worst (but at the same time, quite epic) -est moment was most definitely sprinting back to QVB from 'The Little Snail' - which is a distance of exactly 1.4 km! (I google-Map checked it!) Me, Michael and Saj sprinted it in about 5min-ish? BLOODY HELL. Lmao, I'm so unfit :( And I ran barefoot (with socks) as my heeled boots were killing me. MADE IT WITH TIME -2 seconds- TO SPARE :D Yayers :)

On the other hand, my feet are now really sore and bruised and I probably cant go dance class tomorrow because I can barely walk. Yay :L

People still haven't found the secret stuff hidden in kerry's blogpsot. I was so shocked O: I even put a hidden clue innn !Only one person found out the first subliminal message by themselves, I told a couple how to find it. But the OTHER one noone has found! I am disappoint. :( Buttt CLUE IN?
The other one was done for kicks - its right in front of your very eyes. And seriously, who says 'Victory is neigh ' for no reason? Think about ittt! ;D
http://count-to-7.blogspot.com/2011/06/somedays-i-feel-like-wearing-underwear.html

Thankyou to so many people this week I can barely count.

Goodluck for so many things everyone. Next week is the last week before the fun begins :)
In the end. its not about who gets prefect, its about what they do with it. LETS GO WILD WITH IT RUSE12 :)    - quoted to me by a wise woman!

Corny Comments

So the wet weather meant we could go home. NO ! JOKES we went to daniel zhou's dad's restaurant in the city! It was Vaish and my first time at hot pot (yeah I know and LJ calls herself asian!) but the experience was pretty awesome :) You grab rolls of beef and dunk them in the 'HAWT POT' and it cooks within 10 seconds. Mindblown. Also, if you want to be real troll....when someone is trying so hard to pick up a dumpling (which is really hard cos it slips outta the chopsticks), get your chopsticks and take it out of theirs ^^ . But only do that if you think you're the better handler of chopsticks :D Was so full after that so I went back home, didn't eat dinner, then started snacking again at night. Let me tell you, my friend, that the whole theory of 'oh ill binge now so then I dont eat anything later and it all balances out!" YEAH THAT NEVER WORKS.

OH DEAR I think it's time for some King Lear! Surprisingly, I'm finding this shakespeare play a lot easier to understand however the concepts behind it are crazy and quite the deep.Planning to get an essay up by the end of this weekend so let's hope it works! What shall I do to keep up the motivation? Neighbours? Phone? MSN? Maybe shopping? I find that it's easiest to work hard for a couple of weeks then full reward yourself by going to the shops and buying yourself something you've wanted for a while :)

Now, I have this little comment about the theory of saying corny things. I know some people hate it-think it's overused and simply annoying but I actually think its pretty cute. Pretty damn cute.

GO  :)

I AM GLAD TO ANNOUNCE THAT ALL ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE DINNER HAVE BEEN FINALISED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION JAMESRUSEMUSICALCASTOF2011YEAR11's :D

Clarification:
Every year, after the musical, the entire year 11 cast go out for a dinner with the parent helpers and the teachers (Mr B3st, Mr W0ng, and Mrs B@l ) to celebrate a successful three nights :)! Its great fun :D
This year, since our musical was French-themed, we have decided to go to a place in the city called The Little Snail , which have agreed to cater for a 3 course meal of our choice (over a specified menu). Its on this Friday, at 7:30pm, and WE CANT WAIT :D

Organisation has been hectic since it was originally Saturday, but Saturday was $56, so we moved it to Friday, bargained down the price (GO SYDDO :) ), contacted the mums, arranged a website for all musicalers to comment, found pictures for each menu (THANKS TREEMAN), and got everyone to RSVP.

PLUS, PEOPLE ARE SKIPPING BBALL FOR THIS - THANKS MAX, ANDY, DANIEL :D

Cant waitttttttt!

So Simple, it's perfect

So I just cranked out my 3U essay and I must say, I'm a pretty damn disturbed child. I never considered myself that way-because I'm usually cheerful and somewhat innocent (or so I like to think I am), but the dark thoughts within my mind just burst into a Modernist Rage. Yeahp-that's what I'm gonna call it. I won't reveal any further until I've written the reflection, so I don't go changing any of my twisted thoughts. My story is a lot like John Cheever's "Reunion"-because I think I relate to it quite a fair bit and the experience is personal. I'm just hoping that english teachers wont go referring me to the counsellor because they think I have some mental issue.

Now I heard that Lovisa has a massive sale. As in $1 headbands sale. OMGOMG and a 3 for $20 wristband sale. OMGOMG. Must go tomorrow ^^

You know what I dont like about masterchef? It's how they make what I eat at home seem pretty bad. And I always have this image that if George, Gary or Matt ever came to my house and sat down with me to eat, it'd probably be a disaster taste test. And then I go on to make little critiques about the food im eating. 'This too salty...no balance of flavour...overcooked'. OKAY now I'm just being overanalytical. You know what i do like about masterchef? It's all the cooking ads that come on at the time. LIKE PERFECT ITALIANO RICOTTA! SO SIMPLE, IT'S PERFECT! The ad's are new this year. Will keep you updated on the laugh factor. I am looking forward to some killer perfect italiano ricotta ads ;D

The Necklace

I love being hit by inspiration :) Just busted out my 3U story after being inspired by Edgar Allen Poe of all people! And I was reading war veteran stories and I was like -OH MY GOD. And so I wrote. I hope its good seeing as I haven't handed any 'snippets' to my teacher (since I haven't seen Murph all week unfortunately :( ) Plus, everyone should read Guy de Maupassant's The Necklace, Edgar Allen Poe's The Black Cat and Katherine Mansfield The Garden Party. BRILLIANT Pieces. Oh and - Shirley Jackson - The Lottery (which is FREAKY but soooo good when you read it a second time - bear with it the end is amazing!)
lmfao I have just had the biggest random epiphany: If you're curry - wingerdium leviosa rhymes with samosa :D
I haveeeee -  decided to HarryPotter-ify every blog post I post up until July 13 :) Funnnn :D
*But anyways, for anyone who watched it, Harry Potter 1 was on last night!
Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts, and goblins and ghouls and to magical beasts, its all that I love and its all that I'll need at HOGWARTS HOGWARTS :) I need a pigfarts shirt D:

Does anyone else msn their siblings if they ceebz walking to their room? :L
LMAO I LOVE THIS PIC

EDIT1: Just came back from intuition and strangely enough, felt the need to add this in: CHECK OUT GINA'S HAIR EVERYONE :) IT IS SERIOUSLY the NICEST chocolate brown ever -and its natural! She's getting it dyed tonight though - but its gorgeous, me and Becca were staring at it for half of Intu lol.
EDIT2:  I'm not Indian. Nor am I eating that crap :( Bullies

Horoscopes are downright scary sometimes, I swear :L
Yayers for blogging for the first time in months :)

Genie-ous

Chris: 'See this crack I got on my lip, some guy came up to me and tried to punch me. But then I blocked it and punched him instead. And I got this cut right here (points to lip)'.
LJ: OMG ARE YOU OKAY???? WHO WAS THIS GUY?? O.O
Chris: I'm just trolling you.
LJ: TT ....Do you want some paw paw cream for it?
Chris: Hmm yes please!
At this point I find it incredibly funny that a guy has just accepted my offer to try some paw paw cream (what I use as lip balm). I laugh for a little while and say 'yeah funny funny' only to realise he was actually serious. You know after you put on lip balm then you rub your lips together? OH THAT WAS A FUNNY SIGHT!

SO I got 4 hours of sleep on wednesday night but came to school happy as larry. I find that when I get a medium amount of sleep I'm tired, but when i get close to no sleep, the next day is HIGH TIME. OH THE IRONY. So Mr Ben Wang comes up to me outside the canteen and....
Ben Wang: I am about to ask you a very awkward question.
LJ: HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHAAHA.
Okay-typing that was sorta pointless but it demonstrates how high I was that day.  My point is- you should use this high energy to do work. I have NO IDEA how this happened, but as soon as I got home, I started cranking out maths. A LOT of maths. TWELVE PAGES OF MATHS. How does that sound? And I did a bit of chemisty. You need to make yourself feel like you can escape after doing a certain amount of work ie like theres light at the end of the tunnel. I think this is what Mrs Connors was talking about-using those 'temptations' as 'rewards'. OOFT.

Yesterday in chem, we were waiting for water to boil so we played a bit with baby powder 8D Brian told me about Lebron's pre game ritual where he sends a whole puff of smoke into the air using some kind of powder, so I attempted to do the same. It turned out less dramatic but nevertheless, it was fun! I must say Lebron, the whole puff of smoke thing is GENIE-OUS!!!!

Anyhow, I GOT DIGITAL!! Its amazing! Oh you beautaay...(talking to the set top box). Now theres so many more channels and I almost collapsed off my chair when I saw Neighbours and Harry Potter 1 being aired :)And guess what? I was randomly flicking through the channels and I saw NBL on so I decided to watch it for a while-you know, see if I can pick up a few tips from it. BUT THEN, I SAW MYSELF, LEBRON JAMES :D and I must say, I am quite the spectacular on court.

Well I found this picture off weheartit. HOLLY MOLLY doesn't it sound familiar?

The Start of Something New

GUESS WHAT HOMIES? I GOT A HAIRCUT TODAY WOOPEE!! So I usually choose a picture out of the magazine and I showed the girl what I wanted. But she kept insisting that the picture was the same as my current fringe and when I looked at the picture I thought WTH HOW'S THAT THE SAME? I ended up half listening to her advice and half choosing the picture and that somehow turned out to be a front fringe. She asked if I was happy with it and after last year's mistake of getting a front fringe, I asked for it to be 'to the side'. It's now cut to something a bit shorter than I had hoped for but nonetheless I'm quite the happy with it :D It's strange how changing your hair can change you as a person. Well not entirely, but I always feel like a new person after having one. And after getting my ATAR estimate on monday, I have this new, I guess, DIRECTION? I am happy and somewhat surprised by it, but it's just made me want to study even more and be more organised. So this haircut marks the start of something new.

OOH and on Saturday at musical, my cousin got me this awesome earring box thingy. It's so cute!
Alright, this post is a little disjointed but what I'm saying is what's at the top of my head at the moment. LJ stands for Lol Jokes, Laura-Jane, Lemon Juice, Live Journal, Lord Jesus etc BUT IT ALSO STANDS FOR LEBRON JAMES !!! AAAHHH! So my new goal is to be able to somehow play like him by the end of the basketball season :D Yes I know he's like a 1 man team and plays with UBER aggression but I'm gonna try do that because I think our team needs to B.E. AGRESSIVE.

The other day I was talking to Ben Wang on the bus. He's a very funny chap. I was talking about my family and all of a sudden he goes 'DO YOU HAVE ALLERGIES??' o.O Now when people ask me questions I usually like to answer them THEN ask my next question, because I find it slightly annoying when you ask a question and they ask another question back, BUT this time I just had to say 'WHY??!" And so he says that the last child is usually the unhealthiest. Again, a " o.O " moment. But now I am actually quite curious about whether there is any scientific reasoning for that- although I highly doubt any relationship between the nth child and their state of physical health LOL.

HEHE we won in basketball today! OOFT that feeling when you intercept a pass ^^
Aiite now I'm off to do some of the bajillion pages that Mr Choy gave us. Either the maths we're doing now is kinda hard or we're just going at lightning speed. I choose the latter :)

Cheerio

OOFT MUSICAL WAS SPECTAKULAR TONIGHT! I'm quite the happy with how everything went and I felt more in control of my dance moves :D OMGSH I met Hilary (an old school friend who now goes Hornsby)  last night after about 2 years of not seeing her and it felt bloody fantastic to give her a huge bear girly hug. According to convention, when you see somebody you know, you'll give a big smile, say HI LONG TIME NO SEE YO! and then turn to hug or w/e but I realise that I tend to scream for a bit before erupting into a huge hug. So yeah, if you haven't seen me in a very long time then expect me to do that and don't be scared- screaming just my way of making up for the time we haven't seen each other.

You know what was really strange today? After 6.5 hours of sleep (which isn't that much I think!) I awoke bright and happy HALF AN HOUR BEFORE MY ALARM D= Now usually this would give me motivation to get up, get early to school but NO I roll around in my bed for a further half an hour before my alarm officially awakes me then crawl out. Nevertheless, I am still bright and cheery and immediately put on my pair of bright pink socks to wear to school.

I forgot to mention- I bought two Napoleon Perdis duo eyeshadow sticks for $25 (for both!). And they work awesomely. Now my hair is dying due to excessive amounts of hairspray and over shampooing and conditioning. My hair feels flimsy and disgusting. I am going to have another shower now.
And everyone, go read the newsletter- an awesome article on maths on the 2nd page :D Tomorrow shall be the best musical performance yet-looking forward to it!

xx ellejai
MINE HANDS OFF

If Life Were A Musical

One day left for musicalll!
Everyone is so excited and sad for this at the same time. I'm so insanely pumped but at the same time its our last musical ever. And for a lot of us, the last time we'll probably do something fun-related, performance-y ever in high school! Because after comes life, and ATAR estimates, and results and getting a job, supporting your kids and watching them as they do the stuff you used to love. Aw :(

MUSICAL HAS BEEN AMAZING. I am so insanely biased but it has been :D Some stuff ups that I really think only a few of the leads know about they are that unobvious which is good :) Notable stuff ups include Linly liking boys . .and boys. And Abbi's cousins in the front row who were the best audience ever. And ofc LaScreama ;D
note: huge musical rant coming up ahead. I type a lot of my blog posts now so I can look back and reread them and know exactly what I was thinking then, so a lot of this may be 'zzzz' -  just chucking this warning in :) Its a longg post okay? Read onwards if you can handle itttt ;)

I think this year has had the best chorus ever. Again, I'm biased - but I seriously love our chorus this year. The year 8's are AWESOME, Year 9's came together to learn Riviera all by themselves (:D) and the year 10's learnt Nicer in Nice and it made me (and the other choreo's) happy for a week, nojoke. Its really  . .satisfying, I guess. Nice :) They were so patient with us choreo's and we had HEAPS OF FUN which was our aim :) Plus, everyone seems so smiley and happy at performance time which is awesome :) I love how everyone is wishing everyone else luck, and how everybody looks so pretty. And the feeling of on the night, standing in the wings, seeing the lights from orchestra through the curtains, seeing the dimming of the stage lights as the Overture starts to play. And every ones whispering 'Shhh!' and humming along to the songs, dancing silently in the wings. Poking, giggling, the clunking of footsteps, whispered cues, and eyes that are literally alight with laughter sometimes I swear ! :)

Accidentally grinned my head off during the sad end-of Act-2 scene, and told Saj to smile as well. Thankfully, he didn't listen. Whoops:L TANGO IS GETTING BETTER yayers :) Happy Birthday David Kim even though you will probably never see this :)

I have loved being choreo. I think that us four choreo's (Me, Lena, Jane and Amelia) have done all we can. And we got everything done which was our main aim. And choreo-ing for dances is fun - especially opening Act 3 ! :) Plus we worked so well together guys - NO stuff ups, or arguments or anything at all quite literally. You'd think we'd have had one argument but we were all so  . .high. LMAO at ' May call you Duckie!' move :) And we taught 130 people how to Charleston! That has got to be an achievement :) We've done heaps though, recording all the practise vids, going over to Lena's house for choreoing TWICE, choreo-ing lead dances, present buying, general chorus organising, stage organising, VNR-ing everyone, email ling like crazy, uniform confirming :) We knew it'd be worth it and it was :)

TANGO DANCERS: We rock :P Lets face it, a week to learn a dance and WE DID IT. Told you we could :)  Tango-tingle,  tango-tingle, tango-tingle! NO INAPPROPRIATE MUFFINS, screw potatoes we're gonna spaghetti this dance ;)

Year 11 chorus have been the most AMAZING cooperative of them all - THANK YOU SAFETY IN NUMBERS you were so patient! You re all heartbreaks, and I can't count the number of times someone has yelled ' You love us all ?!' in my ear -___- Girls, I have one thing to say: Don't want to play with . .my boobs? LMAO :)

Have to go buy like 21 presents tomorrow for all the Musical helpers but NOONE IS GIVING ME MONIES so its hopeless! I should have $410 , but I have $160. YEAR 11 . .. -_-

I love our musical and I honestly think we have done the best we can . I especially love our main leads, who are amazing actors, singers and people. You guys have taken everything in stride and are completely insanely wonderful people. So proud to have you guys representing our grade :)

TheBoyfriendCast2011: We are on fire every night, everyone is aceing everything, and the whole experience has been utterly, amazingly magical :)

VAISH'S CREW FOR THE WINS ;)

Thank you everyone in Musical!

One last night, lets make it last :)
Taylor Swift - Long Live
love TheBoyfrienCast2011 and the whole musical experience forever and ever:)

WERIDO

A few strange but funny things happened today:
1. My dad was putting petrol at seven-eleven and I think he already put in about $15 worth of petrol (which is quite a bit) and somebody walks by and goes "HEY! The petrol's dripping out!" . So yeah we wasted about 15 bucks on petrol that refused to go into the tank TT
2. My mum comes home and says 'I HAVE A PRESENT FOR YOU!!" I immediately jump out of my seat at run to her and guess what she hands me? A ROUND BLOCK OF CAMEMBERT CHEESE AND SOME CRACKERS!" An interesting present, I'll admit, rather unconventional though.
3. So I just practised my makeup for tomorrow's musical and the blue eyshadow makes me look like an awesome friendly monster.
4. For the first time in a long time, we had a maths test WITH ROOM FOR WORKING OUT :D Mr Choy decides to give us a surprise test with about 2 A4 sheets of paper for working out. Compare this with Alder's half a column.
5. I bought my 3rd school scarf today.
6. I saw Mrs McKenzie today at North Rocks Westfield.

Musical 11 is on tomorrow and I'm wishing the cast all the best of luck-especially the principles! Let's make this musical the best one ever produced, so get a good nights rest, sing your hearts out and we shall make this memorable!
