Time is of the Essence

Hello my lovelies its been a while since my deep and meaningful posts and thats because the deep and meaningful part of me was on hiatus ;D And it still sort of is. Anyway, I was just going through my stationery drawer the other day and I found a bottle of 'Impulse Party'-the purple one, from Year 8. For those of you that don't know, it's deodorant. So I took the cap off and put my nose to the bottle and suddenly, I was brought back to the good old times of year 8. It reminded me of after school movies, staying up till 3am watching tv and chatting on msn for days on end. It's funny how certain smells bring back memories and now I'm scared to use it all up because in my brain, that would parallel with losing all those fun times =/ So ima keep it and one day, open that bottle as a reminder :) Oh the essence of time.

Today we went to the Women In Science Day at Macquarie Uni which was amazing, especially the guest speakers. One of the guest speakers went to these caves in Indonesia to dig up a skeleton of 'The Hobbit' which was one of those thousand year old half human half monkey looking things. Most of the panel there spent 12 years gaining a couple of degrees and Ph.D's and eventually became Uni lecturers and to be honest, I think I'd rather spend those 12 years to become a specialist.

Anyway I was desperate for a drink at the break so I bought a berry slushie. Now the girl who gave it to me said that the blender wasn't working properly and that would explain why I could only finish half of it in 40 minutes. By the end of the lunch break I was frustrated by how long it took me to drink the slushie so I tipped the cup upwards and out of the blue, THE WHOLE SLUSHIE COMES POURING DOWN MY FACE! Instant thought: Glee.
So after we went to macquarie for some girlie time and OMG Lovisa had a 2 for $10 sale!

Yesterday I tried making aloe vera cream. Yes I know you can buy it but I decided if I make it myself-theres a good chance there'll be a greater amount of aloe in it and at least I know I'm not putting any
funky chemicals on my face. So I did. I went out into the garden, cut off the best looking slice of aloe plant and mixed it with some nivea face cream. I must say, the result wasn't too pretty but what was pretty, was the feeling of my skin after. Wow I just used 'was' three times in the same sentence =S

And while I'm on the topic of time, I have so much work to do and so little time. Yes, Time is of the Essence :D
